Meiras Abdykhaimov is the owner and lead PPF installer behind Master Protection Films, a family-owned automotive protection studio in Los Angeles. With more than 15 years of hands-on experience, Meiras specializes in protecting exotic cars, luxury vehicles, and hypercars, bringing competition-proven craftsmanship and an exacting eye for detail to every installation.
Meiras earned fourth place in the PPF division at the 2024 International Window Film Conference & Tint-Off™ (WFCT) and first place in a PPF installation competition in Kazakhstan. These achievements reflect the precision, technical ability, and dedication that Meiras brings to his work every day.

A Signature Approach to PPF Installation
Over years of working with demanding vehicles, Meiras has refined his own installation approach, combining custom-modified precut patterns with bulk installation. Every panel is evaluated individually, and the method is selected to achieve the cleanest fit and most discreet finish possible.
Where appropriate, Meiras modifies digital patterns before cutting the film, extending their edges to create the additional material needed for wrapping and tucking. This allows the film to continue around accessible panel edges, reducing exposed borders and helping the protection blend into the vehicle.
On panels that benefit from a more customized fit, Meiras uses bulk film, shaping the installation around the specific contours of the car. For smaller trim pieces and intricate components, precisely fitted precut patterns provide controlled coverage and carefully positioned edges.
The distinction lies in knowing how to combine these techniques. Meiras considers panel shape, film tension, edge accessibility, and the placement of every seam before choosing an approach. Where appropriate, selected trim components are carefully removed to improve access and conceal film edges.
