How Much is Paint Protection Film and
Is It Worth It?

The price of paint protection film (PPF) can vary widely depending on region, installer reputation, installer experience, and the quality of the film used. The most commonly installed PPF kit is the full front paint protection film kit. You can usually see this bag anywhere from $1,800 all the way up to $3,000. These prices are variable and may increase or decrease depending on the year, make and model of your vehicle. You can expect to spend $1,500 to $2,500 to install a paint protection film on your Car ($4,500 to $5,500 for full body). I install PPF myself and only do business with my wife, so our prices are lower than other shops.

Is it worth it?

We always recommend paint protection as soon as the vehicle is out of the parking lot. Investing in Paint Protection Film (PPF) is very important because no matter what you do, your Car will eventually chip and scratch, and unfortunately, this only happens with daily driving and washing. If the paint is severely peeled off, it will need to be taken to a body shop for repainting. This will reduce the value of the car by thousands of dollars. Painted panels will never match OEM paint. This can dramatically change the look of your Car, something you want to avoid at all costs. It's always cheaper to replace the PPF on the panel than to have a reputable shop paint it. If you take it to a reputable store it will cost thousands of dollars and usually has to be mixed into another panel which just adds to the cost.

It depends on what you want. If you're ok with the wear and tear of your vehicle's clear coat from everyday road conditions, then PPF may not be for you. Paint protection films are for those who really like the look of their vehicle and want it to look new for the life of the vehicle.
